Proud to Play our Part

Molson is more than just a beer company. When many people in large and small communities across the country think of Molson, they think of the rep who sponsors their league, the company that supports Canadian athletes or the company that steps up to contribute funds in times of disaster. A deep commitment to community giving is one of the great distinctions that sets Molson apart from other corporations and makes us this country’s pre-eminent brewer.

We are building on this Molson tradition of being Proud to Play Our Part in the community with the launch of an exciting employee initiative that is designed to foster volunteerism. The newly created Molson Volunteer Program (MVP) provides a paid day off work for employees to spend participating in a team-based volunteer activity involving 10 or more Molson employees. MVP has been launched to support our employees in making a difference in their community.

Molson is proud to be a member of Imagine Canada and to be classified as one of its Caring Companies. Imagine Canada's Caring Company initiative is Canada's national program to promote corporate giving, volunteering and support for the community. It is the only program in Canada that is specifically geared to encourage and promote partnerships between the corporate and charitable sectors.

Molson is also proud to be part of the Corporate Council on Volunteering, a newly established Council of savvy Canadian corporate leaders who recognize and support employee volunteer initiatives and plan to inspire other business leaders to do the same. Volunteer Canada is a national leader with a mission to promote volunteerism in Canada. Working with community organizations, Volunteer Centres, businesses, charities, governments and municipalities across the country, Volunteer Canada recognizes and promotes the role of volunteers, provides leadership to the Volunteer Centre movement, enhances the capacity of organizations to involve volunteers, and furthers the national dialogue on citizen engagement and civil society.
